Privacy notice: free AI tools
Effective October 5, 2026.
This notice covers the free AI tools on aimarketingcmo.com, which run at tools.aimarketingcmo.com, and the emails they send. They're run by Kara Lineal. The rest of the website is covered by the site's own privacy policy at aimarketingcmo.com/privacy.
What is collected
User’s answers. Multiple-choice facts about the user’s company brand material, product pages, or marketing work. They aren't about the user as a person.
A paste, if the user adds one. A voice guide or claims list the user chooses to paste. Emails, phone numbers, and links with tracking codes are removed first. The rest, including any names in it, goes to the AI provider for one rating. It isn't stored, logged, or included in the report.
The user’s email address, if the report is requested.
The country the user’s connection came from, recorded for each check. It comes from the network, not from a form.
A record of what the user agreed to: the time, the exact wording the user saw, which boxes the user ticked, and that country.
Problem reports and ratings the user sends, if any, and emails the user sends Kara, such as a problem report during a beta, a reply to a report email, or a request to delete information.
Links to the user’s product pages, if the AI Shopping Check is used. For each page the tool reads, we keep its web address without anything after a "?" or "#", and what the tool found there, such as whether a price, stock status, and product details are shown. We don't keep the page or its text. For a page the tool couldn't read, we keep only the website's name.
The text of the product pages the tool reads, for one check. The text isn't stored, logged, or included in the report.
A count of finished checks for each website.
What the user types in the AI Fit Finder: roles, the user’s workflows, answers to follow-up questions, the workflow summaries the user confirms or edits, reasons for changing a rating, and the user’s biggest marketing pressure. Emails, phone numbers, and links with tracking codes are removed. Parts go to the AI to choose follow-up questions, write workflow summaries, and write examples for the user’s pilot briefs.
If the user asks for Kara's review: who makes the final call on marketing spend, the best time to talk, and the plan Kara writes for the user. To prepare a first draft for Kara, the AI provider receives the user’s map, including what the user typed.
Whether the user opted in to subsrice to email.
How the tool is used: steps reached and links clicked.
A coded form of the user’s network address, used to limit abuse and deleted within 24 hours. The network address itself isn't stored.
The user’s answers in their own browser, so the user can come back to an unfinished check. They clear when the user finishes or starts over.
Why
To show the user’s result.
To email the user their report and reminder communications, if the user opted in.
To send monthly marketing email, if the user opted in.
To read the product pages the user shares and check them against a fixed list.
To ask follow-up questions, summarize workflows, and draft pilot briefs in the AI Fit Finder, and to prepare Kara's review, if requested.
To prevent abuse, including use of the page reader on sites that aren't the user’s.
To fix problems and improve the tools.
To answer requests.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare hosts the tools and their database and runs the check that the user is a person.
Anthropic runs the AI steps. It never receives the user’s email address. It receives:
a paste, if the user adds one
the prepared text of product pages the AI Shopping Check reads
what the user types in the AI Fit Finder, one workflow at a time, or the whole map for the first draft of Kara's plan
the labels used to word the report summary
Anthropic says it doesn't use this data to train its models and deletes it within 30 days, apart from limited cases its policy describes.
Resend sends the emails about the report and, if the user opted in, the monthly marketing email. For the monthly email, it receives the user’s email address and the name of the tool used, and nothing else. If the user unsubscribes from the monthly email, it keeps the address marked as unsubscribed, so the user isn’t added again, until the user asks us to delete it.
The websites the user links to in the AI Shopping Check receive one request per page from the tool's page reader, which names itself KaraLinealPageReader and follows each site's robots.txt.
If the user books a call, Calendly handles the booking under its own policy. The link the user uses tells Calendly which tool, and which page or email, it came from.
We don't sell user information.
How long we keep it
Answers, results, product page findings, what the user types in the AI Fit Finder, Kara's plan, the user’s email address, problem reports, and usage records: 12 months, unless the user becomes a client.
The record of what the user agreed to, and a coded form of the user’s email address if the user unsubscribes: longer, so we can show what the user agreed to and keep honoring the unsubscribe.
Email sending records at Resend: under Resend's own retention.
Backup copies of the tools' database, kept encrypted on a computer.
The user’s report link
The report has a private link. Anyone with the link can see the report, which holds the user’s company answers and result but not the user’s email address. For the AI Fit Finder, it also shows what the user typed and any plan Kara sends to the user. The user can turn the link off from the report email at any time.
The user’s choices
Unsubscribe with the link in any email. It takes effect at once, and it also stops the monthly email if the user signed up for it in a tool. The monthly email has its own unsubscribe link.
Ask what we hold, or ask us to delete user information, by emailing kara.lineal@gmail.com.
Within 30 days, we'll delete the user’s answers, results, product page findings, what the user typed in the AI Fit Finder, any review request and plan, the user’s email address, and problem reports, and remove the user from the monthly email list, if they joined it.
We keep a coded form of the user’s address so the user never gets another marketing email. The record of what the user agreed to may be kept longer.
Backups roll off within 35 days: Cloudflare's restore points within 7 days, and the weekly copies on my computer within 35 days.
Resend keeps its own sending records under its policy.
Security
The tools use encrypted connections, keep keys out of the code, store email addresses in coded form wherever the full address isn't needed, limit who can reach stored data, and keep backup copies encrypted. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The tools are for businesses and aren't meant for children.
Changes
If this notice changes, the effective date above changes too.
