Privacy policy

This policy covers aimarketingcmo.com: the website, its contact form, fit call booking, and our monthly email. The free AI tools, which run at tools.aimarketingcmo.com, have their own privacy notice at aimarketingcmo.com/free-ai-tools/privacy-notice. That notice explains in detail what each tool collects, where it goes, and how long it’s kept. A short summary is below.
The site is run by Kara Lineal, Wisconsin, USA. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Kara Lineal. Questions go to kara.lineal@gmail.com.
We don’t sell your information. Google Analytics on this site has Google’s advertising features turned on, which lets Google use data about your visit for its own measurement and advertising, as described below.
What we collect on the website
Contact and booking details: your name, email, company, and message when you use the contact form or book a fit call.
Monthly email: your email address if you sign up for our monthly email of new blog posts, with a record of when and how you signed up.
Visit data: Squarespace and Google Analytics record how the site is used. This includes pages viewed, the page that referred you, campaign tags in the link you followed, your approximate location, your browser and device type, and your IP address as part of each request. If you’re signed in to a Google account, Google may connect your visit to that account.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to see which pages people visit and where visitors come from. It sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga) and sends Google details of your visit, including your IP address, device and browser, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics keeps this data for 14 months.
Three of Google’s optional features are turned on:
Google signals: for visitors signed in to a Google account who allow personalized ads, Google links visits across devices and can use them for advertising.
Ads personalization: Google may use data from this site to personalize ads.
User-provided data collection: when you enter your email address in a form on this site, such as the contact form or the monthly email sign-up, Google Analytics may receive a coded (hashed) form of it to improve measurement.
Google handles this data under its own policy, “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services,” at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
To limit this: turn off personalized ads in your Google account at myadcenter.google.com, use Google’s opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, decline cookies in the banner on this site, or block cookies in your browser. Google Analytics doesn’t run inside the free AI tools, so it never sees your answers.
Other cookies and browser storage
Squarespace, which hosts the site, sets cookies needed for the site to work and for basic visit statistics. See Squarespace’s cookie policy for the list.
The free AI tools keep your unfinished answers in your own browser so you can come back to them. Finishing or starting over clears them, and so does clearing your browser data.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a tool visitor is a person. It processes your browser and network details for that check only.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work without them.
Our free AI tools
You see your results without giving an email address. Your answers are facts about your company, not about you.
Some steps use AI. Depending on the tool, the AI provider, Anthropic, receives a voice guide or claims list you paste, the text of product pages you link to, or the descriptions you type. It never receives your email address. Pasted text and product page text aren’t stored.
If you ask for your report by email, Resend sends it. You’ll get a note on day 4 and a reminder in 90 days only if you tick that box.
Your network address is stored only in coded form, to limit abuse, and deleted within 24 hours.
Answers, results, and your email address are kept 12 months unless you become a client.
Encrypted backup copies of the tools’ database are kept on a computer. Deleted information leaves every copy within 35 days.

How we use information
To answer contact form messages and manage fit calls you book.
To send our monthly email, only if you signed up.
To deliver tool results and reports you ask for.
To understand which pages and tools are used, and improve them.
To block bots, limit repeat use, and stop abuse.
To keep consent records and honor unsubscribe requests.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it with service providers that run parts of the site, under their own terms. Google may also use visit data from this site for its advertising, as described under Google Analytics.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business. No one else receives your information unless you become a client and agree to it.

Your private results link
Anyone with your private results link can view your results, so treat it like a password. You can turn the link off from the report email.
How we protect information
Keys for the AI provider and email service stay on the server, never in your browser or in the code. Stored data can only be reached through a sign-in. Email addresses are stored in coded form wherever the full address isn’t needed, and backup copies are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t promise that information will never be accessed without permission.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time, wherever you live.
Unsubscribe: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. It takes effect at once, and always within 10 business days.
Access, correction, and deletion: email kara.lineal@gmail.com from the address you used. We’ll reply within 30 days. Deleting a brand’s results ends its history, so a later report can’t compare against it.
Google Analytics: turn off personalized ads at myadcenter.google.com, use Google’s opt-out add-on, or decline cookies in the banner on this site.
Sharing for advertising: some US state laws treat Google’s advertising features as “sharing” personal information for targeted advertising. To opt out, decline cookies in the banner on this site, or email kara.lineal@gmail.com and we’ll confirm what we can turn off for you.
No penalty: using these rights won’t change how we treat you.
Some US states, and the EU, UK, and Canada, give you further rights under their own laws. If you think we haven’t handled your request properly, contact us first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site and tools are for business use and aren’t meant for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email kara.lineal@gmail.com and we’ll delete it.
Where information is processed
We’re based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the US and other countries. If you use the site from outside the US, your information will be handled in places whose privacy laws may differ from yours.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects how we use information you already gave us, we’ll email you before it takes effect if we have your address.
